Brand New Harvest

John 15:16 (NLT) “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

In your seeking God for direction to do something new in your life –get ready for it – and don’t let the pinches you feel in the process discourage you! Be glad that God is going to prune away things of the past as well as things in the present that would otherwise set you up for failure. The ‘good hurt’ of God making room for new growth in your life is a minor pain in comparison to the pain of having the better and best that you can produce choked out of your life. There is abundant joy in the new fruit that will come forth! You want a brand new harvest to come through your life? Expect to be pruned.    “That past success will hinder your future fruitfulness.” Dr. Daniel Simmons, Senior Pastor – Mount Zion Church/Albany, GA
