Answer To Your Rightful Name

Isaiah 49:1 (NLT) Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention, you who are far away! The Lord called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name.

A joyous occasion that is celebrated in African culture is the naming of a newborn baby. The parents present their baby to the community at a festive gathering that includes food, song, and dance!
The baby’s name is announced, and the meaning of the name is explained to all the guests. The significance of the baby’s name is usually connected to loved ones in the family’s past and present, and it gives a prophetic hope for the baby’s life in the future. Right from the start, the baby is affirmed with a name that is distinguished and has divine purpose. Every child is given a name by his/her parents or another family member that has a connection to someone or something in the past and present of their family heritage. Everyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ also carries a name that speaks to the complete existence of his/her life. That name is ‘Child of God’. You are an heir to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He Who knew you while you were still yet in your mother’s womb expects you to answer to your rightful name.
