What Time Is It?

2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT) You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a cheerful giver.”

“What time is it? It’s giving time! If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands, because God loves cheerful givers! There’s a certain point in the Sunday morning worship service when we anticipate hearing these words that speak the truth of scripture and evoke our willing obedience to participate in giving our tithes and offerings to God’s church. But the cheerful giving the Lord loves doesn’t end there. It continues wherever the members of the body of Christ travel. Sometimes our giving opportunities require providing a ride to an appointment, a safe space to vent, financial assistance, a meal or other tangible resources, a hug of reassurance, or standing in the gap to right a wrong. Giving time is a selfless privilege for the spirit of humanity to exert the generosity of God in the same way He bestows His generosity on us – cheerfully. So, ‘what time is it’? It’s 24 hours -7 days -365 days a year time to be cheerful givers!!!
