Listen To Our Children ‘Say Exactly So’...

Colossians 1:11 (NLT) ...you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.

The little girl had several notebooks that she filled with drawings of clothing she imagined would look good on women the size of her two aunties. She always heard them complaining about not being able to find clothes that fit them well. The little girl showed her drawings to her aunties. The first auntie laughed and told her niece that the drawings were cute dreams. “They’re not just cute dreams,” the child said. “They are visions inside my head that I believe can be in your closet.” On that note, the second auntie picked up her phone and made a call to a friend. She then gathered her niece and the notebooks and they went to meet with the friend. Long story short – the little girl’s drawings ended up not only hanging in her aunties’ closets - but they were hanging in closets of women all over the world! And the auntie who laughed at her? She became her niece’s top client and model for the designs! Are there any children in your life who have their voice and their vision that needs your investment and support to become a reality? Don’t limit them to their youth. Take them seriously when they ‘say exactly so’ what’s on their minds.

“You can and should set your own limits and clearly articulate them. This takes courage, but it is also liberating and empowering, and often earns you respect.” ---Rosalind Brewer (CEO of Walgreens Boot Alliance)
