Time Wasters

Psalms 39:4-5 (NLT) “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is.

We have all the time we need to do the things that are essential and have purpose. We even have some time to spare. But we lose enormous amounts of time (and energy) by giving our attention to time wasters. ‘No’ is a valuable word choice that is great for declining activities that rob us of making progress. Idle conversation, camping out for hours in front of the television while binge-watching one T.V. series after another, chasing after someone else’s vision instead of working on your own are a few examples of activities that waste time. And here’s one more for free: taking an idea that the Holy Spirit has given you and overthinking it without taking the action on it - time waster. Do you think God is waiting around for us to do something productive with the time He has given us? LOL! Even God knows how to use the word ‘no’.
