Claim Your ‘First’ and ‘Next’

Matthew 20:16 (NLT) So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.”

There are many ‘first’ positions of achievement and success that have yet to be credited to African Americans. It used to be said that ‘Jesus would have to come back before a person of African-American descent would get to serve in the office of President of the United States. Well...Jesus hasn’t returned yet, and Barack Obama was the first person of color who served in that office – twice! But he isn’t the ‘only’ one who potentially can. Who’s going to be next? What do you envision yourself attaining for the first time in the history of your life, your family life, your life of Kingdom service in the earth? After you’ve accomplished that, what will be your next? There does not exist any person, any reason, or any circumstance that can stop you or me from claiming our ‘first’ and our ’next’ achievements in this world that will create and leave legacy for those who come behind us to build on. We’re unstoppable, because ‘Only’ God ‘establishes our steps’ (Psalm 37:23).
