Unbar the Windows of Heaven!

Malachi 3:10 (NLT) “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!...”

I want God to have what is His, don’t you? I want to be blessed, and I want people around me to be blessed. I’d rather obey God and reap the harvest of His Hands than to block God’s blessings from pouring into my life. What’s more, to that out of the blessings He pours into my life – there are blessings that belong to others that God wants to deliver to them - through me! I sickens my heart to think that there may be people who are holding back a blessing that God meant for me. Imagine how God must feel. He provides everything to us, and yet some of us dismiss Him...just like that. It happens all the time. Whether it is in our personal life or the corporate life of the church – we can be most disobedient when it comes to honoring God with the first fruits of our income, our study time, our prayer life, our service, and our sacrifice. However, when we obey our Father – replacing fear of lack with faith in God’s promises to us – the windows of Heaven will burst wide open, and God will smile upon us in such a way that we will be on a continuous high of being blessed and being a blessing to others!
