Absolute Stillness and Silence

Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

If the dead could speak, they would probably plead for us to pull out of some of our busy activities and go somewhere to be completely still and quiet before the Lord. It is in those times that we are able to go deeper in intimacy with our God. There is healing there. There is forgiveness there. There is relief from anxiety, stress, and tension there. There is clarity and understanding there. There is instruction and direction there. There is peace and restoration there...there in that intimate time we share with our God. We’re just passing through this earthly home to do the will of God. We can’t know what His will is - much less carry it out effectively - if we’re always busy with everything else we put before Him. Our lives will not fall apart when we prioritize God first. Instead, our lives will come together as He intended. Absolute stillness. Absolute Silence. Absolute time spent in the intimate Presence of God.
