A Voluntary Choice
Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
It is a voluntary choice on our part to take the upper road that summons us to do what Jesus would do in spite of how unjust life can be. Our decisions to do the right thing in spite of all of the wrongs we face will never be more difficult than the voluntary choice that Jesus made on our behalf. Completely innocent of any wrong – He went to the cross for all of us sinners. He saved us from having to suffer an eternal hell while we yet sinned. He made a way out of no way. That’s why He is our Savior. Love conquers all, and Jesus is all the living proof we need of that! So, we must volunteer our unconditional love for Jesus in the choices we make. God’s grace is sufficient to sustain us.
