Don’t Throw People Away

Proverbs 18:24 (NLT) There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother..

Self-sufficiency has its place, but it isn’t the mode of living that works best for God’s Kingdom seekers. We need to have people, connections, and relationships entwined in our lives so that we can live life ‘together’. If we try to do life solely independent, we will be fruitless and dry up. We can’t shut people off from engaging in life with us. We might think we know everything, but we don’t. People are God’s priority. We were created to need each other, just as we were created to need Jesus Christ. If we throw away the people who intersect in and through our lives, we will be guilty of not appreciating the reason God gave us Jesus, which was – to die in order to save us. Don’t throw the people in your life away. People are essential to our life here in the earth and in the Kingdom of Heaven.
