Who Gave You That Assignment?
Psalm 37:23a (NLT) The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
Ella Mae was so excited when she became a follower of Jesus. You might say that she was a bit too excited. She had good intentions, but she made the mistake of taking charge in deciding who and what she would assign herself to – in the Name of the Lord. Do you know anyone who does that? If we are humble in our walk with Jesus, we know that saints don’t choose their assignments for God. However, Saints receive their assignments from God. It is sheer wisdom for all of us whom God calls His own to go straight to the Master and follow His lead as to where and whom He will assign us to serve. Can I get an ‘Amen’?
