Mind Your Meddling!

Proverbs 26:17 (CSB) A person who is passing by and meddles in a quarrel that’s not his is like one who grabs a dog by the ears.

There’s enough we have to deal with when there is disharmony between our fellow brothers and sisters without having to address the unwanted involvement of an uninvited busybody. You tell me - how can one’s misinformed perception of what they think they hear and what they think they see, sprinkled with their personal biases about the people involved, and topped off with their personal arsenal of foolish behavior - help bring about harmony in a matter that they know nothing about and they have absolutely nothing to do with? My point exactly! The risk that a busybody takes in meddling in other people’s lives holds a consequence with a sting they can avoid if they will just mind their own business! Listen – if you should sense a storm brewing as you pass along the way, here is what you can do to keep from meddling and making matters worse. It is this: The way to assist with someone else’s affair is to go somewhere quiet and whisper a prayer...and mind your meddling!
