Did You Even Listen To Me???
Proverbs 18:13 (CSB) The one who gives an answer before he listens—this is foolishness and disgrace for him.
How many of you are beyond fed up with attempting to hold a conversation – attempting to be heard – only to be interrupted between every one and a half sentences with flashbacks and resolves of someone else’s experience? When this happens, does your spirit scream, “Did you even listen to me?!?!” I feel you on that. Granted, God thoughtfully listens to every word, mumble, and moan that we share with Him. But He realizes that everyone needs someone in their life that they can talk to. To have someone who is willing to simply listen to what you need to say is in most cases all that you are in need of rather than responses that chop off most (if not all) of what you are trying to say. Can we do this for each other? Can we listen?
