Spiritual Completion
Philippians 1:6 (CSB) I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
God initiates the Kingdom work in our lives, and whatever God starts – God finishes – and there is nothing we can do to stop it or to mess it up. This is what Paul is telling us in today’s scripture. Our hardheadedness and disobedience won’t complicate things for God, but they will make things harder for us than they have to be. And yet, God’s spiritual completion in us will come to pass, because the Spirit of God will convict us of our sins. Then He will convert us by giving us a clear understanding of His Word. And lastly, through the understanding of God’s Word, He will convert us. Only a loving God like the One we serve will do what He says He will do in and through our lives. He is faithful.
