Strong Like A Boulder In The Lord
Isaiah 26:4 (CSB) Trust in the Lord forever, because in the Lord, the Lord himself, is an everlasting rock!
In observing a huge boulder in the ocean – a piece of rock that broke away from an even larger rock formation – it stands all by itself in the vast waters. The tides and waves beat upon the boulder and cover it completely time and again. Large ships pass by it, storms rage around it, and it faces many dark and lonely nights. But as the new morning dawns, the boulder is seen standing strong. You and I may not be standing out in the ocean waters, but like that boulder – we know what it’s like to have to separate ourselves from the worldly crowd and stand on our own in a loud and hateful world with our faith in God intact. Just like that boulder, we endure great storms. But blessed be the Name of the Lord! With each new morning we stand stronger and stronger because the Lord is faithful to keep us in His protective and loving care.
