Godly Reputation

2 Corinthians 8:21 (MSG) We’re being as careful in our reputation with the public as in our reputation with God.

Talk about it, avoid it, join in with it...as God’s children, these options don’t apply to us in regards to how we manage our behavior amid the corruption going on in the world. A whole lot of opinionated talking only leads to more sin. Avoidance comes with a coward’s reputation. Joining in separates us from God. However – our staying grounded on the Biblical principles of scripture keeps us armored in the truth of God’s Word – providing us with a Godly reputation of Christ in this world. Wherever God places us is where He expects us to shine our light for His Son. It’s not about whether or not we will be received with appreciation. It’s about sharing the Good News and providing the opportunity for people to answer ‘yes’ to our Risen Savior. It’s up to us - by the help of the Holy Spirit Who lives within us - to reflect the goodness of God in our public and private behavior, for He is worthy.
