Power Source
John 15:4 (CSB) Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.
Something that produces more than that of itself has a power source. In other words, something has to be connected, plugged in, joined to, or attached to something else greater that can generate energy or life through it. This is how it goes for you and me and our attachment to Jesus. Over and over again we learn through life experiences that we cannot be fruitful when we separate ourselves from the Spirit of our Lord and Savior. What appears to us to be successes apart from Him are just that – appearances. We have no power apart from our Source, and God prunes that which causes us to be separated from His Word. God created us to produce good fruit for His Kingdom while we are still yet in the earth. We will do just that as long as we stay attached to our Power Source – Jesus.
