God Won’t Argue With Us
Romans 1:28 (NLT) Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
God meant what He has said from the very beginning of time regarding His command for our obedience to His Word. He said it in love, and his love will not change in a manner to appease us. If we love God in return, we ought to desire to fulfill our obedience unto Him. Disobedience is the popular trend in this world, and it is out of control. Its increase isn’t because God has stopped caring for His children – no. Disobedience rages because of the consistency of those who choose to do so rather than surrender to God’s command. God won’t argue with us about what He knows is best for us. Neither will God force Himself on us. We can either trust and obey Him or not. But we can bet there will be disciplinary consequences to endure if we insist that He let us have our way.
