Can God Trust Us With His Blessings?
Luke 16:10 (CSB) “Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much.”
When God sends a blessing ‘to’ us - can He trust that we will give Him praise for it, or will we magnify ourselves? When God sends a blessing ‘through’ us – can He trust that we will keep our hearts and hands open to carry the delivery through, or will we be selfish and cancel out someone else’s blessing? When God sends ‘us’ to be a blessing to someone else – will we go willingly and ready to give of our presence, our time, our talents, and our treasures – or will we put ourselves before others and ignore God’s desire to use us? These are eternal matters we must think on about ourselves. We want to have the favor of God upon our lives, but we have to make sure that are commitment to God is certain, and our gratitude toward Him is sincere. When it comes down to God trusting us with His blessings – in all ways, we want to be able to say, ‘yes’.
