Luke 4:35 (NLT) But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,’ he ordered. At that, the demon threw the man to the floor as the crowd watched; then it came out of him without hurting him further.
The authority of Jesus Christ in the heavens and in the earth has power unlike anything our minds can imagine. All-power is the magnitude of His authority. It’s strong enough to call demons out of His people, and at the same time it’s gentle enough to call His people unto Himself. Do you remember how Jesus called you out of your old nature and into the Light of His Spirit? Take some time today to reflect on your journey thus far with the Lord. Reminisce on those moments when His gentle authority stopped you from doing things that you would have ended up regretting. Sit in your gratitude, and praise Jesus for His loving authority over your life.
