Philippians 2:3 (CSB) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.
When remembering the men and women who dedicated their lives to doing what was necessary to secure privileges and freedoms for the human race – remember Jesus. He is the Person Who set the example for all of us to follow. He gave up everything – including Himself – so that no one would have to forfeit life in Eternity with God. We are grateful for the many people God has placed in the earth, and we’re grateful for their sacrifices that have made life better for the living. We are most grateful for the life of Jesus Christ Whose sacrifice has secured a better life for all people who believe in Him. We remember the men and women who ‘considered others as more important than themselves’, and we give honor to their creator – Almighty God.
