Speak Grace
Ephesians 4:29 (CSB) No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.
Who are we to tear someone else down with our ‘would’ve, should’ve, could’ve’ comments? Who are we to look down on anyone? We are the least of these – yes, we are. ‘But by the grace of God [we] are what [we] are, and his grace toward [us] was not in vain’ (1Corinthians 15:10a). We’re who we are by the grace of God, and He gives us an abundant overflow of His grace backed with an abundance of mercy. We have a lifetime supply to share. People don’t need our criticism. They need our kindness, sincerity and love. May what flows from our hearts, from our thoughts, and from our mouths be that of grace – that which builds each other up. May we speak grace and transfer hope between one another.
