Old Man Still Walking

Throughout life we encounter people (including ourselves) who appear to have gone to the back of their closets and pulled out their ‘old man spirit’ to wear for the day. Their demeanor reveals it all – body language, attitude, speaking tone... This is a pretty good indication that something has stirred up a matter within them that lies dormant and has not been completely dealt with. In such instances, the best thing that we can do for ourselves and others is to not make matters worse by dishing out critical lectures. Grace is the answer. That ‘old man’ needs someone to go before the Lord on his or her behalf and pray for resolve and healing so that the old man can be put to rest for good. God is able.
