Entrusted To Love

Luke 23:44-46 (CSB) It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three, because the sun’s light failed. The curtain of the sanctuary was split down the middle. And Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” Saying this, he breathed his last breath.

Jesus never lost sight of His purpose in the earth because He never lost sight of the One Who sent Him. His mission – to do the will of His Father – was for the salvation of all sinners. His death on the cross was the completion and the victory of an eternal mission. As cruel, painful, and unjust as His death was, Jesus suffered it because of His love for His Father and His love for us. From the beginning to the end – Jesus entrusted the totality of Himself to Father God. And unto the end of the earth – it is for us to do the very same by entrusting ourselves to Jesus – Love.
