Stop Frontin’

Proverbs 21:25 (NLT) Despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work.

Lazy people have at least one thing in their favor; they can talk a good game. Take for example, the person who is telling everyone how they are working out every day to get their body in shape. Weeks and months go by and you suddenly realize that the only thing that seems to be changing is their assortment of workout apparel – and nothing else seems to have ‘worked out’! In the same respect, there are members of the body of Christ who can dress, walk, and talk a good ‘claim’ of reaching the world for Christ. However, that’s about as far as we go. The detriment of this is that we’re not showing up for Christ, and we’re not showing up for those who are seeking Him! You’re a part of me, and I’m a part of you – so I’m calling us out! We’ve got to stop frontin’! Our service for the Kingdom of God requires our commitment, conviction, dedication, and sacrifice. It’s not about how we look. It’s about Who we belong to! Real Kingdom change in the earth is an absolute truth we will witness when we stop playing church and be the authentic bride of Jesus Christ.
