Lord, We Thank You
Proverbs 23:18 (AMP) Surely there is a future [and a reward], and your hope and expectation will not be cut off.
Dear Lord,
For the last 365 days of this ending year of 2022, You have been faithful to Your Word to look after us like the Good Shepherd You are. The days have swiftly passed, and many who entered the start of the year with us are not hear to witness its end. There have been things that challenged the endurance of our faith in You, and many blessings we’ve witnessed because of our enduring faith in You. In our ups and downs, wins and losses, sin and repentance – You have been faithful. You’ve kept us Lord. You’ve been better to us than we’ve been to each other. Lord, we thank You for watching over us and for having it in your will that we should live through this entire year as your servant body in this world. We are grateful for the life you have given to us. We look to You, Lord God, to guide us over into a New Year – yet full of hope and opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus, and to draw more sheep into Your pastures. We’ve come this far by our faith in You and Your grace and mercy toward us. We can only go where You lead us. Lead us into the New Year according to Your will, and we will be ever so careful to follow You and to serve You and Your people for the Glory of Your Kingdom. This is the prayer of Your people for the coming New Year. It is in Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
