Heart Cleaning
Psalm 139:23-24 (AMP) Search me [thoroughly]. O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me. And lead me in the everlasting way.
Deep within the inner dwelling of your heart lies the possibility of forgotten sins and even self-justified sins that are hiding dormant, and they are a hindrance to your living and walking in the purest of God’s love for yourself and for your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and in creation. God knows what’s in your heart, and He knows what needs to stay and what needs to go. But God doesn’t force Himself on you. He loves you too much. How much do you love God? Do you love Him enough to ask Him sincerely to bring to your attention those things you need to confess to Him and repent of? Are you willing to face the hard stuff and get rid of it instead of deceiving yourself by letting it remain hidden inside of you – making you become hardened in your spirit? Don’t you dare fool yourself. All of us – ALL OF US - have some stuff we need to fess up about. God is best at heart cleaning. He can help us get rid of those loathing sins so that our hearts may be purified with agape love.
