Stepping Down To Greatness

Matthew 23:11-12 (AMP) “... But the greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be raised to honor.”

There are people in high places and in high positions who’ve climbed ladders of success to get where they are - only to realize that their joy of serving has been taken away from them. They do not feel useful by being in a place where they can no longer directly connect with their calling. The passion they once thrived on has been stifled from them. This is something that you or someone you know may be struggling with to figure out what to do. Let me suggest that you petition God to direct your steps. Your servant heart will be lifted to its greatness – whether you remain high at the top of the ladder – or you step down. You see, greatness is found in high and low places, because the greatness is within ‘you’. Just look at Jesus. He stepped down from Eternity to be a servant among the people of the world. Today He sits on His throne in Heaven as our Savior. From high to low to high again - Jesus walked in His Greatness wherever He went. As long as you know that greatness resides within you - the Lord is faithful to direct you in which direction to take - be it up or down. Amen.
