Where Are You?
Luke 2:49 (AMP) And He [Jesus] answered, “Why did you have to look for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”
Jesus’ response to Joseph and Mary upon their searching for Him and finding Him sitting in the temple of Jerusalem implied a reminder to His earthly parents about His reason for being born. Jesus was already walking in His purpose from the moment God placed Him in Mary’s womb. Now at age twelve, it was peculiar for Him to be sitting among the teachers in the temple of His Heavenly Father – listening and asking questions. The best place to listen, learn, and share is in the fellowship of the church body in the Presence of God. How else are the saints to become equipped as a unified serving instrument for the Kingdom? I was glad when they said unto me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD” (Psalm 122:1 AMP). I ask you on this glorious day of the Lord, “Where are you?”
