Sense of Security

Psalm 52:8 (NLT) But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.

Above all things, let God be your ultimate sense of security. Look at what you have in material possessions and what you have by way of the people in your life. Realize that they are on loan to you. It makes you feel a little insecure when you think about losing any of them, doesn’t it? But when you consider the things and relationships that you don’t possess – you see that you are living without them, and you are alright. Tangible things come and go, and they are too fickle for you to place your sense of security in. Anchor everything about you in the unfailing power of God. God is an eternal assurance in a Christian’s life. Let Him be yours, too.
