My Best Work
Isaiah 40:11 (NLT) He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.
I am thankful to God for the lessons He uses to draw me back in place with Him when I tend to venture out too far on an independent path. You might can relate to me. You see, I thoroughly enjoy using the gifts and talents God has given me to do things that are great for the lives of others as well as for my own life. But I’m human, and I occasionally get beside myself and start acting like I’ve ‘arrived’. The wiser generations refer to it as ‘smellin’ yourself’! But God! He ever so lovingly breaks my arrogance by placing me in assignments where I can do nothing with what I have, and I can do nothing without Him. That’s when I actually do my best work – when I’m depending totally on God. What about you?
