2 Peter 1:20-21 (NLT) Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
God speaks to and through His people by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes His message is clear, and sometimes He speaks in utterances that sound like jibber jabber or distorted and repetitive speech of a different language. In whatever way God sends His Word, it is an anointed communication that has powerful meaning for our lives. The utterances of the Holy Spirit speak of God’s will for us, and though we may not always know what is being conveyed, we can trust that the Lord has goodness in store for us, and He will make everything clear to our understanding when the time is right.
