Spiritual Distress
 
Hebrews 12:15 (NLT) Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
 
The fruit of your spirit is only as healthy as the root of your spirit. Are you planted in healthy and fertile soil? If your roots are growing sturdy in a relationship with Jesus – your fruit will flourish and maintain its identity regardless of people or circumstances that may come against you. However, if you are the master of your own soul, I can guarantee you that your fruit will fall, because your flesh will keep you in spiritual distress. Bitterness, hellishness, unforgiveness, and hatred are just a few of the many ailments that will cloak you and send you to an early grave. You’ll be walking dead among the living. Every time you open your mouth, you’ll be complaining about the same thing and having the exact same problem with everybody that interacts with you...everybody! The problem is you, Boo! It’s about time you put that spiritual distress to rest – yes! Send out an S-O-S! Save Our Souls, Lord Jesus!!!
