Do you know that one of the best times your true self gets revealed is when something in your life goes wrong? That’s when the truth of what you’re walking and talking gets in the spotlight. The unexpected has a way of bringing out the authentic in us, doesn’t it? When someone crosses you the wrong way or a mishap occurs and interrupts your plans, how much does your spirit meter change from humility to hothead? I mean, is your spirit biased - if you don’t mess with me, I won’t mess with you), or is your spirit firmly connected to the Vine - He who lives in me is greater than my circumstances? Don’t get me wrong. Different circumstances call for different responses. But for the overall truth of who we say we are – it’s fair to say that if the Spirit of Jesus Christ lives in us, His Light will shine through us whether things are going right or wrong. To thine own self be true - in Christ.
