Stripped - Part 1
Proverbs 18:2 (NLT) Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.
As he was driving home, Xavier noticed a familiar car parked at the local strip club. He doubled back by to confirm that it was his friend Lucas’s vehicle, and it was! Xavier instantly became full of himself. He made an assumption about his friend, and he held it to himself as if he had a pocket full of itchy money! He could hardly wait for the men of the church to gather for their monthly meeting the next evening. It was up to him to call Lucas out in the Name of Jesus, and recommend what would be best for the church to do because of the failed character of their fellow man. The meeting began 6:00 p.m. sharp the next day. All of the men were in attendance. Right after the opening prayer, Xavier broke the meeting’s protocol and openly accused Lucas of frequenting strippers at the strip club! He called for the men to vote Lucas out of the ministry and for the Pastor to expel him from the church. (Lord, have mercy on us! If we were to gather up all the assumptions that we make and place them in a room, we’d have a room full of ...well, you know!
