In Due Time
 
2 Peter 1:5-7 (NLT) In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
 
In addition to knowing God’s promises and responding to them with Christlike character, there is the element of having the desire to respond to His promises because of how earnestly we believe in Him. We always need to walk in the discipline of Christ’s spirit fruit virtues in order to make it in this world. Our lives behold pieces of God’s greatest gift to the world – Jesus. When we are called to our final assembly in the earth by the Holy One, we will rejoice over the many lives that came to Christ because we chose to respond to God’s promises for us by showing godliness to others. When will that be? In due time.
