Trained for Spiritual Warfare

2 Corinthians 10:3 (NLT) We are humans, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and our training and fighting happens simultaneously. In man’s army, men and women sign up and train rigorously to learn the skills and disposition they need to become a combat soldier before they are sent out to fight. But in the Lord’s army - we are called, equipped, appointed, assigned, and sent out with our warfare apparatus 24-7 / 365! The battlefield? Daily living! So each day as we pray, study the Word of God, stay connected and involved with our local church family, be consistent in faith and intimate in our relationship with the Lord; as we lean in and depend on God for everything and stand together - look out for one another and those who are unable to look out for themselves – we’re training for spiritual warfare! And when the storms of this life begin to toss us to and fro, we’ll be ready because we train to stay ready! The victorious weapons we use are in the Name of Jesus! Life’s battle is not ours! They are the Lord’s!
