Monitoring Spirits

1 John 4:6 (NLT) But we belong to God. And those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.

They come in all different races, shapes, sizes, demographics, ages, genders, professions, religions – you name it. I’m referring to those manipulative and malicious spirits that hover everywhere they find a confessed child of God. On the hunt for vulnerable prey, people who possess the spirit of deception are skilled in learning about our strengths and weaknesses. They acquaint themselves with our personalities. They ease up on us by connecting with whatever would make us think that we share a common interest with them. This is how they monitor us. What happens after that depends on our daily walk with Jesus. A close walk with the Lord enables us to discern an evil spirit and prompt the Presence of the Holy Spirit to protect us. In Christ, we have the authority to rebuke the spirit of deception, and send it fleeing away from us! Saints in Christ - don’t fall for the fake kinship the enemy uses to monitor and destroy us. Test the spirit by the Spirit Who lives within you. Don’t be timid about keeping monitoring spirits out of your space!
