The Waiting Room – Part 2

Psalm 27:13-14 (ESV) I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

Regardless of ‘good or bad’ – everything in the waiting room is ‘good’ and ‘for our good’, because everything is used to prepare us for God’s purpose. The stronger we become in our faith, the more we come to realize this truth. When we are stubborn and try to avoid the way God develops us, things begin to go bad for us. We are not favorable to things that make us feel uncomfortable or require an amount of patience in order for us to get what we want. All this does is extend the amount of time we will spend in the waiting room. How long? As long as is necessary for us to begin to ‘walk by faith and not by sight’.  You see – it’s all about God. Waiting is a relational matter. While we’re waiting on God – God is also waiting on us...patiently.
