James 1:12 (NLT) Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
 
Our attitude about waiting on the Lord makes all the difference in how we wait on Him, and it makes all the difference in how we have great hope and expectation while we wait. It is wrong for us to think that God is ignoring or punishing us because we haven’t received an answer to a prayer we’ve long past prayed. Is your burden still with you? How long has it been for your particular prayer? From that time to now, God has already answered your prayer. Yes, He has! But He’s not ready to relieve you of the weight you carry because He’s using it to build you up so you will be able to carry the blessing He’s going to replace it with! No matter how long it may seem to you – be grateful for the day to day strength God provides you until your breakthrough comes. Don’t lose faith. You’re closer to your breakthrough than you actually realize. God is faithful!
