Let the Children Come
Proverbs 22:6 (NLT) Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
Home and church are the two primary places where we have the ultimate responsibility of giving our children spiritual enrichment, because home and church equates to ‘family’. We have to cultivate their understanding of their existence and purpose in this world. If we don’t, we’re at fault for setting them up to look for their identity and for an approval of themselves in the people, places, and things of this dying world. Children learn and come to understand the importance and significance of God our Father, Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirit within us by our demonstrating the Trinity’s place of honor in our home life and in our corporate fellowship in the church body. Apart from home, children need to feel confident that they always have family to go to who have their best interests at heart. Their family away from their home is the church. Let the children come.
