Love Yourself
Ephesians 5:29 (NLT) No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church.
I won’t ask you if you love your physical attributes. Your answer would be a shallow indication of your having self-love. Nice physical distinctions and nice attire can give the illusion of a person who has self-love. But when the outer layer is eliminated, the question of whether or not you love yourself may not have been truthfully answered. When you have your thoughts and emotions that tie into the affairs of your heart; when you have time alone with yourself and time you spend alone with God – can you honestly say that ‘you love yourself’? My prayer is that your answer to the question is ‘yes,’ and that you have no guilt in taking the time you need to do the things that help you to always love yourself. God only made one of ‘you’ for His joy. If for no other reason – love yourself because your Father Who created you certainly loves you!
