It Ain’t Over
Proverbs 11:14 (NIV) Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
People like options, and personal options are nice to have. Options embrace diversity, you know what I mean? You can have a fence made of wood, and I can have a fence made of steel. We can have those options and still be good neighbors. But now, when it comes to the action you and I should take to keep each other and everybody else in the world alive and healthy in our public environment that we have no choice but to share – the options available may be convenient, but they can’t embrace diversity. Why not? Because the consequences for everybody is a matter of life and death. COVID ain’t over, y’all. We can’t wish it away, ignore it, take enough vaccines, boosters, or vitamin supplements for it, or act like we aren’t susceptible to catching it. What’s more – monkeypox and meningitis are jumping into this contagious arena. We don’t have to act like we must live under a rock, but we do need to do what is necessary to preserve and protect each other’s lives. Why not use wise discretion with social distance, good hygiene, and face coverings? Too much of an inconvenience, you say? Then how about these for options: ‘MASK IT’ or ‘CASKET’...can’t get much plainer than that.
