Momentum

Hebrews 6:1 (NLT) So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

We can learn about anything we want to in this world, but it will remain dead facts until we take it and put it into use – into motion. Then our knowledge can add to the momentum of our life. The benefits of what we know remain fruitless if we don’t use it as if it were a tool in our hand that evolves from our mental comprehension. If God’s people gather together under the teachings of His Word, but we never go out into the world and utilize it – the momentum of His church will not be progressive. Do we realize how significant our acts of kindness toward people, our sacrifices for people, our intentional presence in people’s lives, and all the other simple and sometimes difficult training lessons we’ve learned are purposed to strengthen our message about Jesus? ‘Thy Kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ We’re charged to keep the momentum of the church going until the day of Christ’s return.
