Don’t Be A Sellout

Proverbs 10:9 (NLT) People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.

When you use your abilities to help other people, it’s not about serving so you can say that God is pleased with you. It’s about being accessible for God to touch the hearts of people through you. God does His work through your willingness to be an available vessel for service. You, your abilities, and your obedience are meant to serve God’s purpose. You already know this, and you’ve heard it repeated many times before. It’s important enough to keep it on the forefront of your heart and mind. So, don’t be swayed by the cheering money gurus of the world who may make you think that you are the shot-caller of Kingdom service. Kingdom service is not based on whether or not you are going to get paid for doing it. If you hold out from doing your service for the Kingdom because you’re not getting compensated for it, you are a sellout for the world. There are consequences to pay for being a sellout. And as far as I know - there is no amount of money you can make in this world that will afford you an air condition unit in hell. Help me somebody!
