Spread Too Thin

Colossians 3:23 (NLT) Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

When you pace yourself in the things you do and don’t take on more than you should, you will do well in your service, and your spirit will find contentment in your work. But if you dare to say ‘yes’ to everything that summons the need of your abilities – whether you realize it or not –your service to the Lord will become your service to the people. It happens like a vacuum, and before you know it – you lose a sense of yourself in what becomes a self-imposed circus of serving others. Honey, baby-boo! Take care of you! It becomes a sin when you spread yourself too thin! You’ll know you’re back in alignment when you let your ‘yes’ be yes’ and your ‘no’ be ‘no’ by the authority of the Lord to whom your service is foremost dedicated to. Working for the Lord offers fulfillment without strain. Working for the Lord gives you time to just ‘be’ without feeling pressed in at all sides. Work willingly and wisely…for the Lord
