Before You Speak
Matthew 15:10-11 (NLT) Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear, “Listen,” he said, “and try to understand. It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.”
Before you speak, think about what you are going to say and what it will reflect about you. Every thought does not require you to speak it, and every conversation isn’t meant for you to be engaged in it. The quality of your character hinges on the words that come out of your mouth. No one has control over what you say except you. Let Godly wisdom safeguard your thoughts and emotions so that when you do speak – what you say will come from a spirit of light, love, and life!
