We won’t live a perfect life on this side of Heaven, but we can be assured that a perfect life is waiting for us when we get there! God makes it so that we can enjoy our life in the earth, but our ultimate satisfaction manifests itself by living a purposed life for God. Troubling times cause us to long for more than what the world can offer or satisfy us with. But do you know that we can still sense such a longing even when all is well with us? When we pay attention to that deeper, inner longing – the Holy Spirit helps us to discern that God is calling us to focus on Him, and that it is He Whom our longing is in need of! Rejoice in your awareness that the quiet storm within you is the Spirit saying, “Come close to Me.” Close your eyes to the outward distractions of the world, and let the Spirit reveal to you what you are in search of.
