Something Good Is Growing!
Galatians 6:9 (NLT) So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Mmm-Hmm! Something good is always growing! We just have to know what we’re looking at! It’s easy to see how a body grows stronger when it goes through a series of athletic training and exercise, consumes healthy balanced meals, and gets the necessary amount of rest it needs to restore itself from the stress and endurance that helps it to grow. The workouts may begin slow and painful. But by and by, there comes a shift in the energy flow. Eventually, the body can do double-triple its activities because the mentality and the muscles of the individual have grown! Does it work the same way for the things that are growing in our spiritual lives? Sorta-kinda…yeah! How so? I’m so glad you asked! Spiritual growth requires focus, patience, discipline, obedience, sacrifice, determination, courage, faith, vision, hope, rest, study, interaction, practice, endurance, and belief in something/Someone greater than self. All of these attributes are needed to development the physical body as well, but its results in our spiritual development grows character – Godly character! Something good is always growing, and to grow in Godly character is really something to look at!
