Take the Risk!

John 21:6 (NIV) He [Jesus]said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

You’re not going to tell me there haven’t been times when you strongly sensed the Holy Spirit urging you to do something that had the propensity to propel you into a major blessing – but you didn’t do it. Why didn’t you do it?!? I know it can be uncomfortable and difficult to get up the courage to do something that is different and doesn’t make any sense. We overthink what we can’t figure out within our own reasoning. Imagine what we can do when we put that kind of thinking on what God says about us and take the risk. Oh, Sweet Jesus! What miraculous, God-size experiences we’d have to testify about! Let’s say we give it a try, huh? Instead of leaning on our own understanding, let’s trust Jesus, and – take the risk! We’ve got far more to gain than we have to worry about losing as long as we put our trust in God.
